Tupu-ā-nuku
Tupu-a-nuku is the star connected to food grown in the ground. In the Maori language ‘tupu’ means “to grow” and “nuku” is the shortened version of “Papatuanuku” means “earth”. This star helps to nourish crops such as potatoes, kumara, carrot, red radishes, taro, carrots,onions, garlic, celery, horseradish, ginger and yams.
Plants that grow on top of the ground such as trees and apples, lettuces, wheat, coconut, apricot, blueberries, grapes, strawberries, pumpkin, peach, watermelon, lemon, avocado and tomato.
